Geomatics
X Geomatics, led by Gerald “Jerry” Anderson, LS, brings decades of experience to X Engineering in all aspects of surveying and mapping for both private and public improvements as well as both horizontal and vertical construction projects. As Director of Geomatics, Jerry leads the in-office and field survey teams, which include two field crews, to service five Southern California counties: Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Los Angeles. X Geomatics is fully equipped with 2021 Trimble survey equipment for field surveys and construction staking.

CAPABILITIES
Our full-stack X Geomatics team is largely comprised of two subteams: office and field personnel. Director of Geomatics Gerald “Jerry” Anderson, LS, oversees our in-office team of survey technicians and mapping technicians and stands as our resident licensed surveyor. He brings 53 years of professional experience in land surveying throughout Southern California. Jason Anderson, Chief of Parties, manages mapping and the day-to-day operations of our field crew as head survey technician. Jason brings 29 years of experience managing all types of survey and mapping projects including the preparation of final maps, ALTA surveys, legal descriptions and plats, lot line adjustments, base mapping, and construction staking along with various survey support services for private land development projects.

We support this strong team with Trimble survey equipment, providing us with a fully robotic tracking total station with scanning capabilities, as well as GPS receivers with breakthrough technology called “Tilt Technology”. This allows our surveyors to use GPS on hard-to-reach locations without having to be plumb over the point, assuring an advantage of both time and safety that is passed on to the client.
